The last one I bought had a little tassel on the front I cut that off very quickly after the cat decided it was a toy!

Your is very exploratory! Or do you often wander around half naked?
Where I work, it is very interesting as I often get calls regarding Lingerie... and almost always Bras! Or Hosiery. (Do women not buy briefs, knickers or suchlike over the phone?) And I have found that young women are happy to advise me on what they want, even assisting where I haven't a clue, which is becoming rare, yet older women have a problem, and insist on talking to a female assistant. The eldest just don't give a and go into detail.
That is how I know all about extenders etc. And most women I have served, seem to be using the modern 'TennisBall' padded bras ( I don't know what the correct term is!), with or without 'patterning' and use the front fastening, swivel and load approach.
Please don't get the blokes on 'Which way do you hang?' or the 'All safely gathered in!' and 'hanging as nature intended!'style, aka briefs or boxers.
No! I wasn't going to touch on the 'Army' front!!!

Thing is, it doesn't matter how expensive a bra is, if the style would suit someone with broader or straighter shoulders or a hollow chest (I mean that straps closer together would 'gape' if they come down the front of the shoulder more, towards the front of the cup) then it's the style that's the problem, not the price. I will try on three or four bras at least, if I can find that many I like in the right sizes (I tend to grab two sizes of each as different styles and makes fit differently).
If I find a single bra I'm happy with, it's been a good day. I'll just as often walk away empty ahanded and frustrated (I'm a bit blokey when shopping. In-see something I like-check size-buy-out. Hate faffing! so bra-shopping is not my favourite job!)

Hiya S!
>>>> Also, the reasons seem to be to do with big jubblies and flexibility issues.
>>> So, can we say that on the whole ladies with mighty melons and ladies with flexibility issues do up the bra at the front and swivel.
>>> Women who haven't been greedy in the department and those with a bit more flexibility do them up at the back?
Sorry, I got distracted by making bra charts. The answer to your question isn't clear. Not to say we can't approach an answer, even with only a little data from few relatively respondents. A statistical technique called boot-strapping, or in this case bra-strapping, allows us to extrapolate from sparse data.

That entry has a link for corsets. I've never noticed those clothes in the lingerie shop. I thought that corsets were used centuries ago. What a find! I think I'll buy one for this summer. I have to go to a wedding. the Tudor one, to push my breasts up and display a nice cleavage
I once wore one , but it was in a play. I felt really sexy with it on. It was very funny.

I'm sorry, I have to protest - I am a D cup and I only wear underwired (lacey ) bras *and I always do them up at the front and swivel*. So it's not the underwiring and it's not the size that dictate the method.
We could end up with quite a detailed bra chart here ...

Not cup size but the inches chest size. Though, from ot very great observation, normal women with big boobies tend to have a larger body size and hence need to do the front swivel move.

I wonder if we are all using the same bra size system? The system I'm used to is:
A cup = 1 inch difference between circumference of chest just below bust and circumference at fullest part of bust.
B cup = 2 inch difference
C cup = 3 inch, and so on.

I think the method difference probably all comes down to how we learned to do up our bras in the first place.
For the record, I'm a fasten-in-front, swivel-while-leaning-over, flip-the-straps-up gal--though my first few bras *were* front-fasteners... And there was a question regarding hookless sports bras... I pull mine on like a t-shirt, then adjust as necessary. I'm sorta medium-sized--C or D, depending on the style. Didn't change sizes when pregnant or breast feeding, either, except of course if there was engorgement going on.
