Am I the only bloke who finds it very difficult to concentrate while this conversation is going on?

Simulpost...!!!!

Maybe Us men should start another thread...bra-releasing techniques since women always seem to sigh and say 'let me do it after you have failed to get it undone after 15seconds...though I do go for the one-handed technique because a) I'm a geek and its cool when it works and b) the other hand can be doing other useful stuff...

I think there should be a similar thread for blokes...

"So, you've pulled up your briefs... how do you arrange yourself comfortably"

I'm going to refrain from answering yours, dotdotdot, for fear of incriminating myself... And distracting myself further!!

kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013

I do it the same as you Sho - perhaps there is a size issue here? I don't think I could comfortably get the wires under my arms if I did it up at the front then spun it round!

I just dont see the point in struggling and stretching the underwires etc when a little practice and you have a bra on in as long as it takes to undo it!

(inexperience and lack of mobility excepted!)

I fasten the bra, adjust the straps if needed, then pull the fastened bra on overhead as I would a t-shirt, and adjust the pointy bits accordingly.

dragonqueen - eternally free and forever untamed - insomniac extraordinaire - proprietrix of a bullwhip, badger button and (partly) of a thoroughly used sub with a purple collar. Matron of Honour.

I'm longing for the day I will have regained full motility and thus will be able to fasten my bra in the back at once. This "roundabout" practice is time consuming and you need more manual work to get the content stuffed properly in place. Get in a basque or corset nowadays is impossible without assistance. *sigh*

And men... at their best they can unclasp. I've only known a very selected few who have been good at fasten bras/basques and even fewer able to lace a corset properly.

...more have been inclined to unlace however...

Dea.. - call me Mrs B!

I've always fastened at the front and twisted. I have fairly large zeppelins and need to do a little manhandling to get them in, but it only takes seconds. I can fasten at the back, but find it easier round the other way.

re post 18:-

i tend to buy the cheaper version of the Triumph Doreen bra as i have lots to cover. i usually get my bras from the Oxendales catalogue.

http://www.oxendales.co.uk/productcache/OXO/BO6057/CH098AE.html

i do have some nicer bras/sets for nicer times, but with my size, i struggle to find some that fit.
i find that there are loads of big cupped bras on the market but they tend to go up to a 38 max-ish. not many go into the mid 40's.

one christmas, my partner smiley - santa bought me 3 new bras. all the same size and all assorted designs and all from Evans. each one fitted differently. only one of the 3 was a perfect match.

Sho - employed again!

The only way to buy bras is to take a gazillion into the fitting room with you and use the ladies there who are experts.

I have a narrow back and huge boobs - for years I resisted anything that would removely give me even a hint of clevage. Now I'm all for it.

The things I really really like are the bravissimo strappy tops (with inbuilt bra) and Iwish they'd do dresses like that too)

They are a bit of a pain to get on though.

I'm really surprised at the amount of "swivellers" here.

Most embarassing bra moment? in the gym - I have one for running (bearing in mind I practically get a good set of black eyes and sore knees if I don't wear this thing) which is solid. And has 8 hooks. I usually get them mixed up and end up asking a passing person to help me with it.

Aren't you getting that mixed up with 'The Three Bears' not 'The Three Bras': And Goldilocks tried on the first one but is was too big, she tried on the second one and it was too small so she tried on the last one and it was just right.

A Super Furry Animal

Right, some bloke talk now:

Never mind being able to undo them, why do so many women wear badly-fitting bras? You hear all sorts of statistics about "40% of women are wearing the wrong size bra" but from what I see walking about town (and I've made a detailed study! smiley - biggrin) it seems to me that a large proportion of women don't understand that the straps are *adjustable*, and you don't have to wear them at the length they were in the shop when you bought it.

At this point I'd like to say "it's not difficult to grasp!" smiley - tongueincheeksmiley - run
