The Doctor and Jane....
Mr. X ---> "Be excellent to each other. And party on, dudes!" Started conversation Apr 30, 2008
At least I'm pretty sure her name is Jane. In the 4th Season of the new Series the Doctor sees Jane through a window, and they have a mouthed conversation. But I'm not that skilled at lip reading, so can anybody tell me exactly what they said? Particularly in the middle, where Jane has her monologue.

Her name is Donna, she´s his new companion. The conversation was essentially them going "What are you doing here?"
The Doctor and Jane....
NPY Posted Apr 30, 2008
Yeah, it's all "It's you" "it's me" and "what are you doing here" type stuff. Watch it again and see if you can pick it up. Quite a funny clip.

Yeah yeah yeah. But I want to know what she says in the monologue. She opens her hands like a book and she moves her head from to side to side, but I can't tell what she's saying.

I've no idea, and although I recall in a sketchy manner, I believe she was telling him she'd been looking for him, reading about things in papers and so on in the hopes of finding him or clues to him.
She filled him in on this verbally later to didn't she?

Sorry, *too*.

According to the script it's:
The Doctor: [mouthing from behind soundproof glass] Donna???
Donna: [also mouthing] Doctor!!!!
The Doctor: But...what? Wha... WHAT??!?
Donna: Oh! My! God!
The Doctor: But... how?
Donna: [pointing at self] It's me!
The Doctor: Well, I can see that!
Donna: oh this is brilliant!
The Doctor: But... what the hell are you doing there???
(Donna's just so thrilled, she waves! Big smile!)
The Doctor: But, but but, why, what, where, when?
Donna: You! I was looking for you!
The Doctor: What for?!
Donna: [miming in a surreal sense while the Doctor looks more and more confused] I, came here, trouble, read about it, internet, I thought, trouble = you! And this place is weird! Pills! So I hid. Back there. Crept along. Heard this lot. Looked. You! Cos they--
[On 'they', gestures and looks towards Miss Foster, who is staring at her. As are the guards. Penny too.]
Donna: [freezes] Oops.
Miss Foster: [out loud] Are we interrupting you?
The Doctor: [mouthing] Run!

I love this site!
I've never yet found a question that *someone* can't answer!
(except the one about the hotdog-to-bun ratio...)

Gracias señora. (Or señor, I can never tell.)
And you're right, that's a very good question. It doesn't make a lot of sense. My best guess is that they do it so you'll be obligated to buy even more hot dogs/buns, thus increasing their already vast profits.

NPY Posted May 2, 2008
Do you mean numbers of hotdiogs and buns or size or the buns in realtion to the hotdogs?
The Doctor and Donna....
Mr. X ---> "Be excellent to each other. And party on, dudes!" Posted May 2, 2008
Hot dog buns come in packs of ten, but hot dogs come in packs of eight, thus leaving you with two extra buns. Of course, I just use slices of bread anyway, so it's not really an issue for me.
The Doctor and Donna....
NPY Posted May 3, 2008
Well, for me I prefer the hotdog without a bun, or if I have one I'd rather not have 2 inches of empty bun at the end. You have to get the right length of bun and sausage.

Traveller in Time curious about where the script image comes from
"I always thought the extra bread is for the leftover hotdog
(sausage over on both ends of the bun) "
The Doctor and Donna....
NPY Posted May 4, 2008
Well that never seems to work for me. The sausage always seems to fit inside the bun with none sticking out, so there's excess bun. I need longer sausages.
The Doctor and Donna....
Moonhogg - Captain Coffee Break Posted May 4, 2008
That's not something I'd admit to...

Cheerful Dragon Posted May 5, 2008
We get our hotdogs in packs of 10, but the rolls come in packs of 12.
Personally, I like the way the Germans do their 'sausages in a roll'. The roll is small and you get 2 or 3 inches of bratwurst hanging out of each end. The roll is just something for you to hold the sausage with while you eat it. And bratties are so much better than frankfurters.
