>>Seems that the FIA has finally decided not to support
the oppressive regime in Bahrain. The F-1 race is off.<<
Some say that Mr Eccles has his own oppressive regime, Napoleon
complex etc but I say to them where's the evidence?

>Some say that art goes beyond reason<
Not for me. I'm not into 'outsider' stuff. It's about going beyond reason on occasion..but bringing that back to the adult world of reason..that's the real genius for me.
Hence pretty, pretty decorative stuff by 4 year olds isn't anything that interests me.
But each to their own.

This is a bit weird.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-13737942
Headline. 'East Africa embassy bomber Fazul Abdullah Mohammed killed'
But first paragraph says,
'Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who is suspected of masterminding the 1998 US embassy bombings in East Africa, has been killed in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, reports say...'
One minute he is guilty..the next, a suspect...ie innocent until proven guilty.
Gotta love that, 'Wanted, Dead or Alive' John Wayne attitude to civilisation..

>>Massive Chinese aircraft carrier<<
I think China realise that Western style free trade requires massive
military backing. I think the US call it "speak softly and carry
a big stick" diplomacy. Of course in the past (as well as currently)
that stick has been waved around a lot. Recall the West's actions
in getting China and Japan to "open up" their markets in the 19th
century.

How times change...
USS Forrestal, 60,000 tons standard, and 78,000 tons in deep load, launched 1954. (Wiki)
Parked next to that thing in the Phillipines, while on HMS Albion (and I thought it was big), was indeed mind-boggling.
