My drinking water is taken from the North Saskatchewan River. There are a number of communities upstream of me. All of them discharge their sewage (treated) into the river. My pee goes into the river and certainly some of its molecules end up going into the water treatment intakes of communities down stream with no ill consequences or 'yuck' factor.
