I wouldn't know about that, being a confirmed Romeo. smiley - winkeye

I kinda wish there had been a cheerful subplot, though. Sickness and dying don't send me out of the theater in the best of moods. Unless there's a villain who can be made to suffer. smiley - whistle

Agreed, it was a one-plot wonder, but I found that refreshing. It was their love story after all, and I'm sure a film of Gloria's life, especially where she ran off with her step-son, would be really juicy. I am left wondering about the bitchy sister, what was her story? Or was it just sibling rivalry/jealousy? When I heard the music of "Song for Guy" I thought that was a continuity error, but I've checked now and it's right, but how can that have been in the charts in 1978 is beyond mesmiley - huh

Is the date or quality of the track?! I loved Song for Guy - perhaps I'd better try to catch the film!

I've now seen Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. And whilst it's not the worst film I've seen, it's not great.

Not bad as such, just not really any good.

Didn't get to see Black Panther this afternoon, though its still on my list of current films I want to see, on account of a scheduling with my weight loss seminars, where they did have an edifying exercise video.

I'll probably watch some more Topper TV episodes tonight.

Teasswill - I am sorry but I don't understand your question. Song for Guy is playing in the background during some of the film - I instantly recognised it - I can remember Elton John playing it on the piano on Top of the Pops as if I watched it yesterday. I thought the filmmakers had got a continuity error because I couldn't believe it was 40 years old (1978, when the film was being portrayed). I checked when I got home and it was smiley - erm

You'll love the film. smiley - ok

To be fair to the second 'Ghost Rider' film, the bits with Idris Elba in are quite fun. The beginning is enjoyable but you then have to fast-forward 45 minutes of the main cast before he comes back and makes the film watchable again for a bit.

That's one reason, but Loki (Tom Hiddleston) steals every scene he's in -- appropriate that a trickster would be such a thief. smiley - tongueout

Really?

Loki 'I am a GOD!'

Hulk - THWAP THWAP THWAP THWAP. "Puny God'

That's just about my favourite scene in a film featuring Thor (Avengers Assemble).

Agreed though that he is very very good. Thor Ragnarok was especially awesome.

If the ladies are allowed to drool unapologetically over Mr Hiddleston, I might point out that Baby Driver was particularly good since any opportunity I get to admire Lily James is time well spend smiley - winkeye

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

Recently spent 21 hours in an aluminium tube in the sky. I saw "Hit man's bodyguard" (over the top action comedy-ish) and "Ghost in the shell" (mainly eye candy with guns). Looking around me, there was a definite preference for films starring Jennifer Lawrence...
I must have seen another film, but it made such an impression on me that I can't remember which one it was.

Last night I saw "A Wrinkle in time." It was worthy of the great book it was based on. smiley - ok

Finally got around to seeing Moon.

Very well acted, great story idea. Did think it dragged a bit here and there though, but overall it's a keeper.
