Women who just don't like sex?
Teuchter Posted Sep 23, 2004
Calculator?
I'd manage on my fingers and some of my toes
As my significant other says - you're not often hot - but when you are, you're sh*t-hot!
Definitely a case of quality over quantity.

Oral is a lot more intimate.
I would generally agree that it's more gratifying, mostly because the majority of people don't experience it as often.

Hands off! I saw them first!
Actually, I was meaning even within a long-term, stable relationship.
I have to admit that sometimes I have to be persuaded to follow up with some manly thrusting.

Not more, surely? Just different. Variety is the spice and all that.

Oh, absolutely. But as the default thing to do, I'd rather go down south than climb aboard.

I suffer from a lot of confusion over the words "verbal" and "oral" but reading this thread has helped enormously, and I feel can say with confidence that I would prefer oral sex to verbal sex...

Want me to check out their gums first, B?
What could be more intimate than looking into someone's eyes - while inserting Tab A etc, etc?

B is assuming that I'm actually good at it (Well - I like to think so.....)
And what could be more intimate than looking into someone's eyes while placing lips and tongue on button X!!!! (takes the correct placement of pillows, of course).
(And men KNOW the effect of eye contact while on the receiving end!)

One surefire way of putting people off sex is for them to read this thread while they are having lunch.

There is a science mag out at the moment, it's probably either Scientific American or Nature, which has an article on asexual people. People with no form of sexual attractions or desires. Seems they're trying to get a bit of recognition. The article made it out that most people seemed to find it really amazing that such people could exist. I don't see why, with all the strange sexualities people have. And we're not like that from birth, wouldn't be much of a stretch to imagine in some people the sexual on-switch just didn't get flicked at puberty.

I haven't read the article...Is it implying that it's a physical phenomenon, rather than a psychological/social one?
When Kinsey did his surveys, his broad conclusion was 'There's a lot of it about...and all sorts, too!' Does anyone know if he picked up assexuality? Mind you, he's the kind person who would have fiddled the results.

As a lurker, i generally dont join in on the threads but i feel i should put a point in as a woman who doesn't enjoy sex too much. It is not sexual urge that is lacking but rather a fear of an erect penis, Its a very intimidating thing, and when it comes down to penetration, fear generally, but not always, overcomes any sexual urges fired up through foreplay.
C'est la vie, We all have our quircks

Goodness! Poor you! They are such comical things too!
I hope you find a sensitive partner who can give you pleasure without insisting on penetration.

Silunka, I read you post last night, and it moved me very much. I have been thinking about it on and off all day.
Penetration can be intimidating. Even with someone you love and trust, it can still be something you don't actually want at the same time that they want it. It has the disadvantage that they tend to take their mind off everything else while they are in there. There have been times when I have had to consciously relax my vaginal muscles and consciously think 'welcome in' in order for it not to hurt. Being on top is the classic 'in control' position for women, but even so.
I do love f**king, though. I really do.
All of that said, penetrative sex is simply not possible for one of the guys I have had as a lover. However, he has set a sexual benchmark that is going to be hard for other men to reach. Sex - really good sex - involves so much more than insert Tab A into Slot B and jiggle about till it gets messy. In fact f**king has not been the highlight of my very best sexual encounters, no matter how much I enjoy it as part of the sexual smorgasbord. I could belabour this point, but I guess I have made it clearly enough.
One of my favourite songs is Chrissy Hinde's "Brass in Pocket" - http://www.lyrics4all.net/p/pretenders/u/brass-in-pocket.php
Gonna use my arms,
Gonna use my legs,
Gonna use style,
Gonna use my sidestep
Gonna use my fingers,
Gon' use my my my imagination
Something of a mantra, for me, that song.
