Women who just don't like sex?

Going back to something Teasswill posted a couple of pages back:

I'd say it is not directly related to 'capabilities' but most women I know feel much more 'sexy' during certain times of their monthly cycle.
This seems a very complicated question to answer since, as others have pointed out, one also has to take into consideration the relationship they are in, life/stress factors, self-perception and many other things that can affect one's libido.
Though I tend to agree that people who absolutely *don't like sex* are few and far between.
There seems to be a general concensus that when two people first get together they 'f**k like rabbits' for a time, but this eventually calms down to a more comfortable level that ends up actually fitting into the real lives most people lead.
I think a lot of harm can be done by statistics that state a 'sexually healthy couple' has sex 2.5 times a week (or whatever) as this doesn't take individuals into consideration. The idea being that anyone who doesn't live up to these standards is somehow not having a satisfying sexual life?
Going back to whoever said that acheiving orgasm wasn't the be all and end all to a sexual encounter, I can only agree. There is plenty of sexual activity that can be experienced without orgasm and I think it's a shame if people think this somehow 'doesn't count'. I've always considered such encounters as 'extended foreplay'. In that it's not important to always have an orgasm to consider all the nice stuff you have been doing with someone as 'really having sex' together. Basically (imho) if it feels sexy then you are having sex together. Also, taking the pressure off to actually 'do it' every time you feel a bit sexy (but might also be feeling too tired to actually go through the entire deal) would probably help couples to explore the various ways they can actually be sexual together.
Am I making any sense?

"would men in general get more satisfaction from an inert/unwilling partner or self-gratification?"
The former. If you've had an unsatisfactory w*nk, you've got to get up and make your own cup of tea.

az there was a documentary where a german scientist found a coorelation between the amount of fleash shown by womens clthes and the stage of their mesntrual cycle. Apparently he found a correlation between peak fertiltiy and more flesh shown.
I think it wass just an excuse to let him take photos of women

Old joke.......What's the difference between an egg and a wa*k?
You can beat an egg.
Following on from the last few postings, I have a question. Why is this society so phallocentric when it comes to s*x?
We had a conversation in the staffroom yesterday after one of the girls was complaining that her BF was a bit fed up of not getting any. She has awful problems with cystitis and all the 'Insert Tab A into slot B' stuff makes matters worse for her.
The rest of us were trying to explain a few alternative things she could try to keep herself and BF happy, but she was genuinely shocked at some of our suggestions. No trix for her fella, apparently.

*laughing out loud*
*cackling*
What else disgusted her? I am curious about boundaries. Strike that - I am nosy about boundaries!

Can one imagine what a s*x-manual would read like - if written by the same person who writes flat-pack assembly instructions?
Much like the last few posts I would think.
Any guesses which essential component would be found missing at a critical juncture?
*sits looking at alan-key and thinks 'Hmmm, limited possibilities' - but then, perhaps I have no imagination and am easily pleased

I'm trying to remember which Conservative minister it was who, during the cabinet's emergency discussion on the AIDS leaflets, had to have the concept of oral sex explained to him. Apparently he refused to accept that it could possibly be a mainstream activity.
I've an idea it might have been John Nott.

Ah, yes. Nott the Defence Secretary.

I have no idea where to *start* being disturbed by that thought...
