Geggs, what makes you think the 5 millionth post is in that invisible conversation?

What I did was...
Click on the 'write a reply to this posting' thing. Then I changed the URL so that instead of saying
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/plain/AddThread?inreplyto=5000197
it said
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/plain/AddThread?inreplyto=5000000
and pulled up that page.
I then pressed the 'Return to the convo without saying anything' widgit, and it dumped me at a convo that appears totally blank.
Do you think my working was in error? Or is it just summat weird?
Geggs

It's not on WW2 or Collective either. Here's 4999998 from Collective: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/F104904?thread=379595&skip=20&show=20#p4999998

Crikey and here was me going through the backlog of the DNA sites. I don't know if that would normally work Geggs but smart thinking anyway .
I just tried off your link in post 102 and the subject line of the post is called Hidden. It also says:
The Posting to which you are replying is from Hidden

I've just tried http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/plain/AddThread?inreplyto=5000001 and that goes to the Natalie post that GD found, so it must be something wrong with #5,000,000.
I managed to post a new convo to the F number of the invisible thread but it doesn't help much. It does show up in myPS as F1350728?thread=393457
Maybe Jim has done something sneaky with the magic post?

Right - it appears that 5,000,000th post is on ican which means we can't read it.
The winner btw is Swodahs who guessed Thurs 1pm (actual time of post was around 12.10pm GMT). Followed closely by Jab - Thurs 11.11 am, and then Greydesk with Thurs 3pm.

The magic numbered post is in Serephina's ican thingymajig. I don't really know how ican works except that no-one can read it 'cept Serephina and the person who sent the post to her. She's having a look to see if she can find the exact one.
I'm off to bed

The landmarks are just flying by today, aren't they - it's a shame the 5000000th DNA post wasn't the 60000th post on "3N": F63252?thread=100492&post=4998749#p4998749 that would have been
(in fact, it was number 4998749, which just goes to show how many posts DNA gets in a few hours! )

Hi-oh! What do I win? A lifetime supply of widgets? A trip to Haiti? I'm so excited! Oh, wait, I think I feel some harsh, cold reality sneaking up on me...

See you all at post 10,000,000. How long away do you think that'll be? If anyone guesses right now I'll give them a trip to Barbados

Sucks that the post is hidden. Shall we ever know what it said? My life now feels unfulfilled knowing that I spent all this time here to be disappointed.

Yaaay Serephina .
>>Well I didn't post that particular numbered post on purpose <<
Your current moniker suggests otherwise... "Serephina..It will be mine..oh yes!"
~~~
So, a post that no-one else can read. Let's just hope the h**v*r*tes don't get wind of this or there'll be all sorts of speculation.
