Just Looked up "Beneath a Steel Sky" for PC on Amazon - all this talk of point and click just reminded me of it. I had that game on the Amiga when it first came out. It was a brilliant little cyber-punk futuristic game. I remember it had to be installed using about 15 floppy disks!! My copy broke when my (then) infant brother stuck jam in disc # 12 - and corrupted the installation.
Might be tempted to go and get that again. we'll see.

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/scummvm/scummvm-0.5.1-win32.zip?download - but you need to download a sort of player format thing to run the file.
I've spent all evening with this now - BIG slice of nostalgia - hope everyone else enjoys it.

Beneath a steel sky is a classic game! Had it for the Amiga and downloaded the SCUMM player and BASS compatible game for it. The SCUMM player supposedly works with quite a few old Lucas Arts adventure games such as the Monkey Island series, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Sam & Max, but I've not tried them.

Great isn't it?
I'm looking forward to downloading some of those other freeware titles if they are available.

Well I finished off BASS this morning.
Something I spotted: some people might have difficulty spotting the card-swiping slots and other important items on account of the rather pixelated graphics - things don't stand out to clearly. A quick hover of the mouse though soon highlights what is there.
Also I'd forgotten how amusing some of the death scenes were. "open reactor door" > URK!!

I'm stuck on Level 9 of the mystery of space and time. I get the game up on the computer but I don't know what to do next.

Just trying to remember that one. Tell me about some of the other stuff in that level.

Think about the four letters on the computer screen...

Geggs Posted Mar 1, 2004
If you are where I think you are, then there's some letters on the walls in the game on the computer. Re-arrange those letters into a sensible order, and enter that into the computer in the same way that you did for the other word.

Tell me the letters.
But I must make it clear that I reserve the right to laugh out loud when you do.

Interesting. I had different letters.
There must be several possiblities programed into the game.

I've had
YEAH
&
WEST
before now.
Anyone else tried their hand at BASS? I'd love to know what people think of it who never played it when it was originally out on the Amiga.

I had YEAH.
And I played BASS years ago. 'Twas great fun.
