Watch the tape again closely, and after it's finished playing click a few times where it told you

To open the box you need the stick and two rings. One of the rings is in plain sight, the other needs a bit of brute force. Search the bed for the stick and batter if you've not got them already

did all that aready I even re-lit the fire. but now i've got a triangular bit of machinery and a lamp I cna turn on and off....

Ignore the lamp, it's a red herring, but make sure it's off. High powered lasers make good cutting devices don't they?

Put the triangular thing in the circle and active the machine.

OK, I've got a safe but can't open it because I don't know the combination. Where is that to be found? Don't say the bed, I've clicked around it for hours.

Well, I got out of the crimson room without any of the spoilers in this thread in under 15 minutes.
