Where do you want to have the meet?

TC suggested Baden-Baden, Ryan Air lands there, but I think Easy Jet lands in Düsseldorf. I guess we could vote which location ids more convenient for most people

Cologne is nice, too, and I can easily reach both Düsseldorf and Cologne

EasyJet lands at the Flughafen Niederrhein, which is fairly close, but by no means Düsseldorf...i think it's about 50 kms away? (possibly closer)
I thought Cologne because it is friendlier (sorry Düsseldorfers) but I'm fairly easy.

I've been to Cologne and I've been to Düsselorf, but don't know either city. Düsseldorf has an airport, and Cologne doesn't have an airport

yes it does... well, Köln/Bonn
HapagLloyd fly there quite reasonably
I just prefer Cologne, although I know Düsseldorf better.

At the moment, it doesn't look good for the London meet, only four or five definites and two or three possibles - I wonder where all the people are who wanted to have a London meet in autumn - none of them has signed up - isn't it typical ?

And they haven't voted, either. Wasn't that one of the points so many were annoyed about: that they didn't get a chance to vote ? Well, like the last time, there is an opportunity to vote for everybody - and look who has voted for a date so far

If people don't hang around 'Ask' or 2legs there's a good chance they've not come across this thread or the entry.
Why can't the italics make an announcement?

If I had the money to pop to Germany for a weekend I would. Hell if I had the money to pop to Wales for a weekend I would do that too.
If we have the technology to vote for weekends within a month for meets could we manage a vote for months of the year 2007?

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Aug 6, 2006
Not many signed up yet; But is that just bedause the date isn't decided on; people who might sign up but not till they know the date? : as for advertising, its been mentioned on my journal, in the journal of 'london meet' and on ask and in various ohter peoples journals; it has I think been added to the upcoming meet page, though that isn't linked to very frequently these days... I sent a note to Jimster, who said he or Elton would put a link to it on the front page once a date is decided apon

Please can I have a German Meet that flies from Heathrow. I have just flown from the Czech (12:30) to Stansted and arrived at 21:00.
Wherever you hold it, if I can make and afford it (friends permitting ) I will be there, as you know!
