Wouldn't it defeat the point if LD-ers were trying to tell h2g2 people that they shouldn't be on their own site?

The difference between LDers and Hootooers is the difference between talkers and contributors, is it not? Attitude is one thing, but creating is another. This site was not started as a chat room, and if someone wants it to be that, that is a problem for the rest of us.

Im not an L/Der im h2g2 researcher and an ACE so i must be of some use or i wouldnt have been accepted

your wasting your time hun, some people just have "tunnel vision" they need to look at the bigger picture. Then maybe it will become clear to them that we are ALL h2g2'ers reguardless!

Be part of h2g2, instead of the extension of LD.

3. If you looked around h2g2 then you would see the contributions made by Ex LDers

This is a site for EVERYONE regardless of where they came from or how they found it

I would imagine I would offend you if I were to say "No Canadians should use this site"..I would have NO justification in doing so indeed I would expect you to be thoroughly offended by that.....NOT that I would, nor am I saying so.....just trying making a point

Most of the conversations here look like *the keyboard stuck*!

Admittedly, the chatroom point is well taken, but the whole idea of this site is to exchange ideas and build concepts even if now and then we want the world to know what temperature it is in our part of the world now and then. Trendy txt speach is fine for some and I suppose it imposes a certain flavour to a point to be made. But to use it in general threads is to just confuse and conceal from others. I fail to see what purpose it has here other than to be a lazy alternative for someone who is unable to produce anything else.

how many LDers did you know? considering there were hundreds using the site, i doubt you knew them all. therefore you are not justified in labelling the majority as "dregs of society"
