The V-day ...........................................................
Citizen S Posted Feb 14, 2003
I saw a rather nasty side to the commercialism the other day. There are actually Valentines cards in the shops saying - To my secret Lover - wishing you didn't have to spend Valentines with your other half. Not secret admirer mind. It's actually for people having affairs. How horrible that they think there's a market for shameful affairs to be in on the act of Valentines Day cards. Very disturbing and sordid.

Oooh I don't like that much
Have found a cure for V-day! Find banging music and bop around! It has to be something rockin' that makes you jump around, nothing remotely soppy! Dance music is particularly good for this !
*bops madly around in chair some more (I am in work after all!)*

Question, is it acceptable to verbally abuse any idiot who comes within 10 foot of me tonight in the pub attempting to sell 'romantic' roses ?

Thought this would appeal to those of you equally p'd off with the Valentines Day thang ...
Anyone else think there's a degree of irony in the fact that Valentines Days initials are VD?
Have to admit to having had a pretty good Valentines Day to date ... ... those of you in the Celibacy forum can hold off with the and ... for the time being at least

Interesting point: - Is valentine's day the BIRTH or DEATH of St. valentine? obviously I go with option (b) but does any one else possess the nerve or the knowledge to comment:?
NB I am scared of marriage..... please help...!!!

Dunno what all you folks are getting so uptight about. Even if you're single, Valentine's day is an excellent opportunity to put a smile on the face of that special someone who you really like but can't tell/haven't told yet. Anonymous valentine's cards are the way to go!

exactly! you should all stop being so pessimistic, it only ends in tears you know.
creachy
some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad,
other things just make you dance and smile and sing.
so when you're feelin in the dumps. don't be sorry chumps.
just purse your lips and whistle, thats the thing.
aaaaannnnnnnddddd.....always look on the bright side of life.
thats it altogether now....................

You'd think they'd be gone by now.
