i remember seeing somewhere on h2g2 a 'one-hit wonders' thread for the likes of 'na, na, hey, hey' and their ilk. springsteen puts on some good live shows, but i sing that one as 'born in the hospital.' it was good at the BEGINNING of that tour...instant karma: springsteen's 'born to run' just popped on my ray-did-i-o.

I'm going to say "The Shoop-Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)" by Cher, because you get so much more than an irritating song. You get horrible mental pictures of a synthetic woman, a ludicrous backing vocal that stalks you for hours on end and the most stupid title ever, all as part of the deal.

I have to leave the room if this is played! It actually makes me feel phsically sick - dunno if its the song or the pitch but as soon as I hear that fiddle....urgh!
