If Scotland gains independence, I truly believe that Newcastle and Carlisle will ask for the borders to be redrawn so they can join us. It's only a matter of time before the rest of England follows, leaving London on its own as a city state smiley - tongueincheek

I'm pretty sure if that looks as though it will happen, Yorkshire will demand to be reunited with 3 ridings and the UDI for Yorkshire movement will have a far better chance of succeeding.

Petty hate: Laughing Cow triangles in new Emmental flavour.

I quite like wee spready cheese triangles. They are my standard mid-morning treat spread on a couple of ryvitae. Usually I can tug the little red ripcord and reveal a solid-ish wedge, which is simple to divide into 2 or 3 chunks and plop them on my chosen cracker before squishing into the dalrymples (Liff word). But the new Emmental ones are just squelch - it's impossible to extract all the cheese from the foil wrapper (which annoys me as I've counted those calories so I'm bloomin' well going to have every last one!).

Sort it out, Laughing Cow people!

Ohhhhh! I do like to see the correct plural of 'Ryvita' being used! smiley - biggrin

I always thought they were like sheep: one ryvita, 2 ryvita, many ryvita

(and they are disgusting anyway)

Crisps that are supposed to be flavoured but for some reason have no flavouring.

Horrid.

Plain ryvitae are slabs of cardboard. The pumpkin seed and oat ones are rather good, but my favourites are the black pepper flavour.

PH: people talking about holidays, and using the verb 'to do' too much. 'Well, I did the Grand Canyon, I did the Louvre, next Tuesday I'll do the Taj Mahal and I'll be doing the Giza pyramid on Wednesday!'

It's just the box-ticking mentality of it that grates, I think. Marking it off the list and saying 'yep! Job done.' Sometimes it seems like they haven't actually learned a thing about all the places they've done. smiley - huh

The thing about Ryvita- all varieties is that to my tastes they *only* taste good with margarine. Despite all the bizarre serving suggestions on the cover, just the thinnest layer of marg and they taste yum to me.

One man's meat, and all that. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same foods.
