That was, indeed, sarcasm (amusingly, in my experience Mercedes drivers are much more civil). Wasn't there an onion article about a well-behaved BMW driver who had been spotted on some highway once?
But this doesn't mean that rabid automation doesn't deserve a petty hate

And the most laid-back of the 'upper' models seem to be Jaguar drivers. They're usually seen cruising along at about 5-10mph below the speed limit It's like they're saying "I'm, cool, I've got money, everybody can see this by the car I drive - I don't need to prove it"
Oddly enough, another of model of car that tend to have a specific type of driver are these new Mini's. They drive in a similar style to BMW drivers

I did see a Jaguar breaking the speed limit. It was one of the few I've seen with a personalized plate. Most Jaguar drivers regard the car as the statement and don't need the plate to make a bigger one. Mind you, the number plate gave me a clue to the kind of man driving the car - RAW 53X !

I've noticed that the Minis seem to be driven more by women, and BMWs by men. Perhaps the spike is slightly further back on the BMWs?

Why do the new generation of VW beetle drivers find it necessary to have a huge flower stuck to there dashboards , is it that there feet smell or have they not heard of air fresheners.

swl Posted Mar 8, 2009
It's because the Beetle comes with a little flower vase fitted to the dashboard.
Honest!

My old Rover has got moss growing in the door rubbers, I shall refer to it as my window boxes moving forward, roll on the spring and I will plant up some bedding as well.

Not so much a petty hate as a health issue: air quality. I don't know what's going on but there's something in the air locally that's triggered my asthma. I can control my asthma with two inhalers (one's preventive, the other's for when I have an attack). The problem is that my asthma can also be worsened by exercise - and that includes laughing! Up to last week I was doing up to 30 minutes aerobic exercise with my Wii Fit. I haven't done any since my asthma started acting up. The lack of exercise is affecting my mood and general well-being.

I get the train to work and each of the stations I use has a single staircase with a handrail down the middle dividing it in two. No-one seems to observe the general 'keep left' rule, so I have to fight my way up the stairs to catch the train when everyone getting off at that station is streaming down both sides at once.

Why when blustery showers muster do they only seem to be at there worst you’re your heading to the car and not when you’re indoors!

I know exactly what you mean Elentari. Everyone getting off the train I used to catch home from work was leaving the station and, in my mind at least, didn't have quite the same need for urgency as someone trying to catch the next train home rather than wait an hour for the one after that. But every day I'd have the same fight up and down the stairs to get to my train. I always stick to the left but I still keep my eyes out for anyone coming the other way and adjust accordingly; more fool me?

People who walk up stairs three abreast, taking up the whole staircase, and then get annoyed when one of them has to move to the side to allow someone to come the other way...

Sorry, wrong place to say this. But that post was one of the most funny things I've read lately.

Lorries on hills on two lane dual carriage ways.
So many of them just signal and pull out to pass a slower lorry irrespective of what is about to pass them. I know that if they don't they just get slower and slower. However, if they pull out WE ALL GET SLOWER AND SLOWER!
The A1 north just approaching Ferrybridge is a pig of a hill for this.

It seems like the abolition of motorised transport would work miracles for the blood pressure of everybody who uses this thread.
