Sorry SWL.

However, why is it that women are attracted to men who are in touch with their feminnine side and men are not particularly attracted to women who are in touch with their masculine side?

Petty hate for the day: being more hardcore than the local public transport. Seems I can cope with standing for 40 minutes in heavy snow which is at least 5-6" deep on the ground but the buses can't.

This may be something to do with our local council nearly running out of rock salt and deciding that the main road through Swindon is not one of the important ones.

Oh well Mr P-P ... at least they'll be buggering off home mid-afternoon on the pretext that the 5' drifts will be dangerous to drive in if they don't get out now ...

I think men being attracted to women's masculine sides depends what you mean by that ... I don't find the new age ladette women who have got in touch with their beer-drinking, building-site yelling, masculine sides attractive ... but I do like a woman who can arrange her own car insurance, or stick to a budget, or who is able to give her children firm love and not just mush up and race into help and 'rub it better' the moment child trips over ...

That's the first time I've heard 'sticking to a budget' being listed as a masculine trait. smiley - rofl

I think budgets are fantastic. I love the squishing sound they make when I crush them underfoot in my quest to buy more and more things I don't need.

The misconception that every adverb must be followed by a hyphen.

Especially-when those who should know better clearly-do not.

People who leave their shopping trolly in the middle of the isle in supermarkets.

And I thought of another one too but since it is petty, I forgot it. I'll have a think and let you know.

Shopping trolleys - ah yes. Those ones that veer to the left or right, and refuse flat out to go straight. Down those narrow aisles, too!

The BBC (especially) talking in kilometres or km/hr on news reports and programmes rather than miles or m/hr. Even kids who have been taught in metric must have a better idea what miles are than kilometres.
