Group texts ("Happy New Year") from people you haven't spoken to in ages. Could it be that they just sent it to their entire phonebook ...

Going to great lengths to cater for the birds that visit your garden
Only to find you efforts result in One Fat Squirrel

Putting food out for the local songbirds and getting pigeons instead. OK, they're wood pigeons and collared doves rather than the winged rats you get in towns, but they're still not the birds I wanted to get round the bird feeder.

Could be worse, CD... you could get all the birds you want AND a sparrowhawk like what my in-laws do.

I wouldn't mind that. I love raptors. If they attack the songbirds, well, it's just what a hawk does.

Do Birds have picky standards, do they award bird tables Michelin like star awards, and if not why are they not dining at mine.

Mine seem to have gone off the fatballs! In this weather you'd think they'd be all over 'em but they're barely touched! I diidn't get the cheap ones either.
Fussy birds!

Lat Sunday's, winternights. I finished it off bar one last night (and I've now thrown out the paper and forgotten the clue - roundly transport something, began with a D, about 2 or 3 down)

Aliens crossing the universe polluting star systems as they go and playing slalom games in Lincolnshire resulting in damage to wind farms before whizzing off back home in time for tea.
(Seriously though, if an object that appeared to be flying and was unidentified, even if it is a chunk of ice, it's a UFO isn't it? Just because it's probably not a "flying saucer" doesn't mean that it's NOT a UFO does it?)

I just had a UFO go over my house!!!
Very loud noise and I couldn't see the source because it was hidden by cloud cover. Could it be aliens landing at my local airport?
