Going on the London Eye - I have wanted to do that ever since it was raised in 1999, and seeing my lovely friend Karen again.
Oh and drinking tea and dark rum when I was good and cold and needed warming up.

I'd like to share my Richard Ashcroft moment with you all. I was walking up to town to get something for dinner and then go to the gym. I had my new mp3 player going (am excited by this new toy ) and was just strolling along, not in any particular mood.
Just as I got to the top of the high street - a long straight and very busy pedestrianised road, the opening bars of the Verve's Bittersweet Symphony played. I had forgotten I had put it on there! A huge grin spread accross my face and I set off, striding down the road. Never have I enjoyed battling my way down a busy street so much as I did today
Just thought I'd share that

Waking up, going ringing in a tower that I've never been to before, and not only welcomed, but asked to come again.
Also playing bridge in a lovely pub, good beer, great friends, and an open fire. *sigh*

Ah, yes, I didn't think of that. Well, if that's being an old lady, so be it. Better bridge than... well... clubbing or something. *shudder*

Lots of people, lots of drunk people, excessively loud music, no place to sit quietly and relax, annoying people, pervy people, too many people, expensive drinks, no decent drinks.
Well, those are the ones I can come up with off the top of my head.

Well, there are enough of them in Brum. The only one I've had a good time in is the Sports Cafe. Mainly, I think, because it's not a club. you can play pool, talk to people, and slouch on comfy chairs. Much nicer.

*shudders again*
I'm far happier in a pub, cup of , either on my own with a book or playing bridge, or somply just talking. Far more sedate and genteel.
