Why do you use MS Internet Explorer..?

...but wouldn't it be great if Micro$oft's "standard" for the boundary between the renderer and the UI was adopted by the industry, so development houses were free to concentrate on replacing one ot the other, and users were free to mix-and-match as they saw fit... Wouldn't that *really* screw Micro$oft up...

What would *really* screw Micro$oft up would be if the media et all stopped labelling anything non M$ as "alternative"

Those browsers are looking good. I used to use neoplanet and that's now looking much better.

I havent tried it but the crazy browser looked a good free way of adding tabbed browsing to MSIE (but I still say Opera id the best tabbed browser available for the win platform).

The makers seem to have taken what they saw as the best parts of mozilla and NS7 and though lets attach that to IE/Explorer. Center mouse button or wheel to open link in new tab - that sort of thing. The look is as though inspired by a windows XP fan.
As for as the genere goes I think it's very good. It comes with a pre-madeb lacklist for popups and you can allow scripts or not on a tab by tab basis.

Now the thing is ... if MSIE is so good why are all these people trying to improve it
That said hers one that perhaps points to the future as Peet might like to see it, this front end will use either MSIE or Netscape(Mozilla) as its rendering engine...

Netscape 7 based on Mozilla 1.0.1? Oh dear, Mozilla 1.1 just came out. Poor them.
Tabs are cool. Galeon was the first widely-used browser to have them, I believe.
The middle mouse button thing is a UNIX tradition as far as I can tell - Netscape on UNIX has had that feature for as long as I can remember using it. It's extremely handy. Galeon extends it to middle-clicking on links stored on the toolbar to open them in a new tab or window depending on your preferences.
