Hmm..Psychology Today had a blurb of an article this month, describing the results of some study that suggested that women inadvertently encourage flirtation on-the-job. I think perhaps there may be something deep seated here *puts on the pretentious theorizing glasses* At the very least, woman generally all like to have as many men as possible want her. More than a self-esteem issue, it makes reproductive sense for the woman to have as many partners to choose from in order to produce the best offspring.
