être un caïd = to be a leader of a gang, often used in an inner city context. It comes from an arabic word for a military leader.
It is pejorative - often a local drug dealer or similar will be described as a petit caïd.

Ah, j'had guessed qu'it would be un loan-mot arabique.
Jedi Girl: si tu have an Alt key et un pad de numbers sur ton keyboard then tu peux write les accents.
Eg: hold Alt + type 0233 gives you é... 
at least most of the temps...

Bon Matine Lydia Je recevoir h2g2 paz vu the interactive television. Je creer la maessagerie electronique account via moi interactive television service. Another faire des recherches sur envoyer la messagerie electronique avec the h2g2 internet address on.

Je peux avoir tous les accents, no problème, as I have a clavier Français. On the other hand this means I have to hit the shift key every time I want to type a

Ah, les claviers frenchs. Je n'ai pas des fond memories of them 
Il y a un way to change them to un format anglais si on peut type without regardant par le keyboard, mais si on est dans un internet café c'est beacoup ant pour ceux qui viennent use the machine après.
