Southern California weather continues clear and comfortably cool. I'm beginning to get a dreadful feeling this may be another winter of drought. I hope not.

Key West, FL 2 Nov 2011 09:08 EDT

These first two weeks of November are the very best part of the year in Key West. There's a nice breeze, very low humidity, and the intermittent showers only happen between 10 pm and 5 am. The temps hover around 77F/25C day and night. Fantasy Fest is over, and the crowds are very thin. No reservations needed this week.

The only distraction we have to contend with for the next two weeks is the Parrotheads MOTM.

Here in north Wales it's mildly warm, sunny with just a hint of cloud.
Oh, look at that, the clouds are rolling in.

you must have some brill thunderstorms! I love 'em and can't ever forget the 'Nuclear' ones I experienced in my 2 years in Northern Nigeria !984-1986: total terror mixed with ultimate excitement!

It's true. There's nothing to acoustically interrupt the roll of thunder, and when the lightning strike is nearby, you will jump out of your skin.

Luckily that season should be behind us until June 2012.

Its raining. Its finally raining.

Orange, Ca Rain also tho I think it's let up some, it still looks damp out there. And cold, by my SoCal standards.

Just the other side of the Santa Ana Mts and Lake Elsinore from where I am now. I vividly remember the torrential rains, wading to school in water as much as calf deep, getting sprayed by passing automobiles.

The Mts intercept quite a lot of the rain.
