Overcast day and earlier on in the afternoon it tried to rain but there was only a few spots not enough to fill a teaspoon.

The temperature is in my flat is 22°C (I have got the back garden door open and one window and no heating on) and outside it is between 16°C, and wind speeds of 11 / 14 mph SW. Humidity 76% and sets to rise to 96% in the early hours of Sunday morning, cloud cover 69%. Pressure is 1003 mb.

Cape Town here. Seventeen degrees C and a blue sky, sunny, a glorious winter afternoon. We need more rain though.

That is seriously hot weather. The hottest I've ever had was in Upington, South Africa, but that was mid to high thirties, perhaps we had a day of forty in our lives, but not all the time. We had long spells of mid to high thirties, which was amazing to enjoy. The sunlight was like honey on the skin.

It was another lovely warm day today, but we need more rain.

Erratum: a day of forty in our lives ought to read: a day of forty in the summer. They might have had forty out in the vineyards, I remember a temperature of 51 in an orchard in Franschhoek, but it does get very hot out that way.

Yes it's the hottest part of the year and thank God for A/C! It should start to get more comfortable in about 6 weeks or so. In the winter it can be really beautiful. At this time of the year the sky's never really blue either because of lifted dust or really high humidity content. In winter it can be cobalt blue, fantastic.
