Mostly clear skies today but a biting cold wind

It's fairly overcast in London this morning but it looks like the sun is trying to break through in places. The temperature has dropped a bit in the past few days so it's gone from a nice Spring feeling to being quite wintery again. Current temperature is about 2c.

This time last year it was 7C(44F) and blowing 40 knots from the North. Today it was 23C(76F) and blowing 8-10 from the N/NW. Quite pleasant, if strangely clammy from the unseasonal humidity, coupled with the wind.

We're in the "desert island" season, and no measurable precipitation on the blotters until 01 June. Anything between now and then will be a gift from the Universe. We always pray that it will magically start raining next week and rain itself into equilibrium before hurricane season starts, but that's what old wives tales are for. After two very quiet years, we're in for it this season.

No doubt after this "cool" spell it will be 30C next week and all through til August.

It's a grey miserable day in London. It's been raining all day long. The kind of rain that doesn't look too bad when you look out the window and then you go outside and actually it's chucking it down! No sign of it letting up either.

Virtually no breeze. Current temperature is about 8c

After a week of miserable weather today for the very first time for there is a beautiful clear blue sky and plenty of strong sunshine.

The temperature now is 8°C.

There'll be the Super Moon tonight, and it's the closest it has been for almost twenty years.

Don't worry, nothing dramatic will happen.

Greetings from London. It's Monday 21st March at 11.50am. It's a beautiful, bright, sunny, almost cloudless day here in London. The current temperature is about 12c and there is very little breeze or humidity. All in all a thoroughly pleasant day.

I consider today to be the first day of Spring and it sure feels like spring has sprung today!

Lansing Michigan has grey skies today. It is 43F (6C) and all around yuckky spring day.

It's a nice evening. It's been very mild over the weekend. And though it hasn't been terribly sunny, it's been very pleasant. And the sky has cleared now giving a nice long, light evening with a lovely sunset. Love the spring time!

Mild, cloudy, some showers 14°C, some sunny spells.

But yesterday, Saturday, was magical here. Non-stop sunshine, blue skies, mild and gentle breezes, 23°C around mid-day, still around 18° at six pm. A wonderful prelude (we hope) to summer.

It's dark here now, but it's been a mixed bag of weather today ... heavy rain showers this morning, but then it turned out lovely and dry with sunny spells this afternoon ... let's hope it carries on for the next few days!!

i go into hidding for a while, and the thread goes to sleep for a few days lol.

its now 4th of april, and we still have,wet,cold, and sometimes windy days.

The weather is still making up its mind to be summer. A few reasonably cool days and nights remaining before the torrid season begins. Remains to be seen whether there will be summer doldrum rains in June this year. The Coachella Valley, CA, USA.

It's a beautifully sunny Welsh evening here, and it's meant to be lovely for the next few days too ... fingers crossed!!
