We have a light deusting of snow. the temperature is sitting just around the freezing mark, and it mis cloudy. It is on the transition point between l;ight snow and light rain.

Cloudy day with heavy showers of rain from early morning till late afternoon. The temperature now is 2°C but with a cold breeze, making it feel more like -2°C. Due to go down to -2°C but will feel more like -5°C.

Here in London on 7th January 2011 at 0845 it is frickin miserable. Grey (well still kind of dark actually), very overcast. Pouring rain in all direction - umbrella was a complete waste of time. Bit of a breeze that, coupled with the rain, is bitingly cold even though the actual temperature is fairly mild About 5c right now. Horrible morning really.

Fast moving squall lines last night brought the temperature down from 78F/25C yesterday afternoon to 55F/12C this morning, with winds out of the North at 12 knots and gusts to 20 knots.

Fishing would not be much fun today.

Raining from early morning but there was a break between 12:00 and 16:00 then at 17:00 it started to rain again for an hour. The temperature now is 8°C but with a cold breeze, making it feel more like 5°C. The wind speeds are 13mph with gusts to 24mph and are South Westerly winds.

Clear skies over night and all through the day and there was a light frost this morning and it has been sunny all day. The temperature now is 1°C but with a cold breeze, making it feel more like -3°C. The wind speeds are 9 mph with gusts to 17 mph and are the winds are coming from the WSW direction.

Temps have moderated between 15-20C, with the winds changing from the West around to the East during the day. Of course, they had to go around from the North for a couple hours to chill everything down.

Winds from the East bringing increasing clouds and overcast, but also bringing sailfish, marlin, and swordfish with them. The charter boat captains are happy today. Record catches lately of wahoo, mackerel and yellowtail snappers.

Cloudy light grey skies, and the temperature now is 6°C but with the wind chill factor 2°C. The wind speeds are 15 NW mph with gusts to 23 NW mph.

1/11/11 Key West, FL 2145 EST

Unseasonably warm and humid (23C, 90% humdidity) until 1530, when the wind swung around to the North and gave us instant haar.

Now chill, damp, and really spooky out. Forecast calls for highs of 13C for the next two days.

Grey cloudy skies, and the temperature now is supposed to be 11°C but feels more like 7°C at the most. It has been raining from 14:20 for about half an hour. The wind speeds are 15 NW mph with gusts to 26/27 SW mph.

Last of the Yacht Races, we've gone from 300 contestants to 100. End of an era.

Living proof that 30 years is enough for anything.

Winds are mild and perfect. I'm guessing that this will be a brilliant year for winds from the East, and overcast tomorrow. Big crews are here in force, but the lightweights threw in the towels.

Tack is tough, but straight out is brilliant. Beats the living daylights out of Chesapeake Bay, where it's unbearably chilly.

Boston, Massachusetts. Tuesday January 18th at 12.45pm. It's a grey overcast day and it's snowing pretty heavily right now. It's quite cold too. The current air temperature is around 1c, but with the wind chill it feels more like -3c.

Temps are very high for January, 74F/23C up to a high of 80F/26C today.
The warm weather brought tornado watches as a "cold" front passed through with heavy squalls on Monday night.

Back in London and it's a fairly grey overcast day today. There's a very light breeze. It's dry and it feels fairly mild. The current temperature is around 4c.
