I have found www.bom.com.au which is the Bureau of Meteorology site here in Oz. It means I can track radar images of the weather in Melbourne (or Sydney, Brisbane etc). Is there an equivalent site for UK or USA?

It' pouring with a temperature of 25°C and rather sticky, but a relieve from the usual 30°C. Kids are lighting firecrackers all the time, making me jump out of my chair every time one goes off. Preparation for the St. John's festivities which fall on the eve of the 24th this month when one eats all kinds of things made of corn and lights huge bonfires and, argh, firecrackers. This is the Northeast of Brazil. Oh, for a lovely European summer!

Very cold , 8C/46F, that is. The night is quite clear and at this time of the year it doesn't really get dark here.
