Was dry and sunny here in Sussex until about an hour ago when the heavens opened.

07:30 Clear skies, sun rising from the east.
12:00 Sun at its brightest.
16:00 Clouds start to build up and Sun goes down.
20:00 Sky completed clouded over, rain is expected overnight.

Hi all, to put in a nice way it's blowing bloody gales here in south yorkshire, I think they'll be some houses with roof damage ect overnightand there may be some up-rooted trees. Winter is truly here, goodnight all xxx

AM Starts off with clear skies but some cloud in the North East/East of the sky. The cloud starts to build up through the day.
PM Rain and now the sky is completely covered except for the few breaks where some stars can be seen.

AM Weak sunshine, cloudy sky with some breaks in the cloud
PM Rain from 2pm until tea time, then dry from the rest of the day.
It has been cold and even when it is has not been raining it feels like there is a dampness in the air. Sadly there will be very little chance of snow in Thurrock this winter.

It's been wet and horrible all day here in Eastbourne, and the temperature's dropping a bit too now, it's 66F (19C) indoors now without the heating on.

It's really windy here, I went into town and nearly got blown away

It started the day reasonably warm, bright and sunny here in Eastbourne. By the time the sun disappeared it was getting cloudy and damp and it's now raining and v windy outside.

AM The rain that was forecasted today did not happen but it must have rained overnight or in the early hours of the morning. It started off with (75%) clear skies and it got clearer as the day wore on. Strong sunshine but a breezy day with the occasional strong gusts of wind.

PM The sky is now 40% cloudy (thin cloud in places) and the stars are out.

It's definetly getting colder! still..it is November

its done nothing but rain all night and now most of the day, and its getting a lot colder bbrr, winter is well and trully here, the snow will be next, hope it stays off till late december

Cold,wet and miserable.

It's not too cold hear in Eastbourne, and it's not raining at the moment, but the sky looks nasty and it poured with rain all last night.

North of England today inspired me to do this:

I saw three seagulls over my left shoulder at midday.
Later on I went for a drive and found a very old graveyard.
I felt the rumbling of the trains and wondered.
"If only she knew where to go...."

I followed my instincts and here I am

The sun was shining
The sky was blue
I saw a cat
From days gone through.

The same as one I knew before
It had green eyes (of that I'm sure)
It was too frightened, timid, to come so close.



I walked away.

NB The strong winds forecasted did not materialise.

Well we've had severe weather warnings here in Eastbourne too, but at the moment it sounds pretty calm out there (too dark to get a really clear view). We'll have to wait and see.
