A blend of all the following, and a few more probably
Never purposefully annoy anyone
Sh*t happens, even on holiday
What doesn't kill you, makes you stonger
We didn't inherit the earth, we're borrowing it

Fighting for peace is like copulating for virginity
I like the idealistic optimism, if Ghandi didn't say it, he lived by it

Rocket man are you in team rocket by any chance? It's just that a team rocket website has the exact name as you. I'm talking jibberish and my new motto is "ask a glass of water".

Sorry to disappoint you, but i've never even heard of Team Rocket. I wish i'd chosen a more obscure name.

Don't know if you've seen it yet, but there's another thing here in Ask H2G2 about favourite quotes. Oh, and my motto at the moment is "Beware of cheap keyboards "

You could have one of my favorite song titles as a motto
"Beware of the flowers becauses I'm sure they're going to get you , Yeah!"!
Now who sung that?

"All is not lost. Most is merely misplaced."
And that's original.

Sounds a bit dodgy but it's an acronym for When Our Grandchildren Are Dead, Will Anyone Remember Us.
As in, in the grand scheme of things, is anything so important? Gawd, I'm so depressed.

Just do it!
And no, I'm not sponsored by Nike, I believe life can be a big adventure if you grasp opportunities and don't agonise over them too much, or automatically say "Oh I couldn't do that..."

Oooh I do like a resurrection of an old thread.
Mine would be:
Be careful because there is always someone ready to step into your shoes and do your job better than you do it.

I guess I have a few "mottos"
"Success is loving life and daring to live it" --Maya Angelou
My father used to always tell me, "Don't let your mouth write checks your butt can't cash."
"Second place is the first loser."
Then there is my proverb, "Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life."
And personally, I find myself humming the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" theme song a lot...and when I see that I have made it through something difficult and/or challenging, I find myself saying "You're gonna make it after all." perhaps that is more of a theme song than a motto.
