I once guest starred as Morph's sinister friend on Hartbeat.
And Yes, I know who Tony Hart is and I'm under 25!!!
If it's real fame you want, I once got paid 70 quid for doing a voice over for a Cornish Museum. I was supposed to be the 'young Cornish lad' who told visitors what 'young Cornish lads' did (whatever that is). I don't remember too much about it, but looking back I'm quite upset that they didn't need me to change my accent too much. Though I didn't really notice at the time.

Tell me more about Heartbeat. My dad likes that show. Who was Morph?

Orcus Posted Jan 31, 2002
Take Hart is what I presume was meant. It was a children's art programme of the 1970s hosted by a guy called Tony Hart.
(Hartbeart is a current police drama set in the 1960s).
Morph was a plasticine bloke whose animations provided much comic relief in the programme. You might be interested to know that he was the first success of Nick Park who went on to make Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run.

There was a Hartbeat - I'm sure of it.
Either that or I dreamt it. I remember the theme tune though.
Now I will be doubting my sanity for the remainder of the day.

I remember Vision On (basically it was take Hart except it was made to include the hard of hearing in the audience) so I guess that makes me too old to remember Hartbeat

As I remember it, they then revamped the whole thing when he retired and turned it into Art Attack, or smART, or something like that, and had lots of young, energetic people.
I remember HartBeat, and the theme tune. Being a little kid in the days of Transformers, I always found it boring, but the memories are all blurred now and it seems great!

Sorry, GWL, Madent (ME) is not Tony Hart. I am just very good with computers, including the net, and found the above list within about a minute of reading the discussion.
And sorry, Bob, but according to his CV, Tony hasn't retired yet.

That's just what you were bound to say.
Only the TRUE Tony Hart denies his divinity.

Hiya all,
I'm Quentiin Tarantino (Yep, you were wondering where I'd disappeared to weren't you?)
I just read this thread and wanted to thank Rainbow for the hilariously timed, "I'm Brian, and so's my wife!"
And also Orcus for the fascinating revelation that Nick Park was behind Morph. How cool was Morph? Seriously ! So that was Nick Park, eh? Well I never.
Also, what was the excellent piece of classical guitar music that used to accompany the 'galler' section? That was quality and I wouldn't mind getting my hands on it. Anyone know?

Don't talk to me about that Gallery - it's still a source of deep pain that none of my pictures *ever* made it on there!
