I generally find that anyone who can't have fun without being in a relationship is too needy to be in a relationship - just saying

I can have fun without being in a relationship. I just miss out on some of the extra fun you can have in a relationship, since I´m constantly single.

I actually just contacted that girl I met just before leaving Ireland. I wanted to know if she thought there could ever have been anything, if the timing had been better. She said she couldn´t say, and I found out she´s been with a guy for four years now and is having a baby in May. I guess that option is gone. Good for her though.

Well I am now happy being single, just in time for Xmas ... perfect timing ... no extra pressies to buy!! And men are far too hard to buy pressies for anyway ... they tell you what they want one minute and change their minds the next ...!!

I asked Bookgirl out to a café, but she said she won´t have time untill after new years. At least it wasn´t a no.

Cheating, regardless of how far away a partner is or who initiates it, is despicable.

Sorry, that's very judgmental, but as a strong advocate of ethical non-monogamy I think that unless it's all honest and above board it simply shouldn't happen. If she's got a boyfriend and they're not polyamorus/open it's just waffles. Full stop.

NO! Even if you refuse to take responsibility for anything that goes on you're still just as culpable as she is. Not only that but it's cowardly as well.

For one thing it's up to her what she does with her boyfriend and whether she cheats. For another thing she MAY be in a non-monogamous relationship.

And yeah, it is up to her whether she cheats. And it's up to the person she wants to cheat with to refuse to. Sorry, I have Extremely Robust Views about this.

That being said once it's happened it's happened... I will strongly advise against such things if they're being considered, but after the event I will do no more than look over my glasses in a disapproving manner and possibly give a non-gloating "told you so" if it comes back and bites people on the arse.

I agree with Mr Dreadful that it would be wrong to get it on with someone who is in a relationship. However I´m also very tired of being the guy who get´s nowhere with women because of doing the right thing. So I´m going to do things differently now.

Xanatic, I've watched several friends take the same tactic. It rarely ends well if you're naturally inclined towards the right thing.
