I've just bought some Bicarb.
Can anyone tell me the difference between Bicarb, Baking powder and Cream of Tartar (and why)?
(Other raising agents do NOT include Viagra....).

Baking powder is a mixture of bicarb, starch and usually cream of tartar. The main difference between bicarb and cream of tartar is bicarb is basic and cream of tartar is acidic (so they react with different things)
No, I didn't know all of that offhand, I looked up www.dictionary.com
