Alkland - In need of a SHIBBY! Posted Feb 17, 2003
Not strictly useless in the same sense but this is by far the most interesting thread I've ever found anywhere and I've been reading the backlog since 3.30 and only just got to the 2nd set of red dots!

Queeglesproggit - Keeper of the evil Thingite Avon Lady Army and Mary Poppins's bag of darkness.. Posted Feb 20, 2003
My headphone lead reaches from my computer right to the door of my office, which is good cuz I don't have any interruptions to my music while getting stuff from the printer. But it does have the added downside of the 'getting-yanked-back-by-head-when-walking-further-than-headphone-lead-extends' scenario happening just as I'm walking out of the office door, so anybody in the corridor at the time see me half come out of my door, only to get whipped back in neck first with legs following..

It depends how you define useless .
What is useless to one person may be very usefull to someone else
although i have to admit i dont know how knowing that
Snails can sleep for 3 years without eating
could be usefull , unless your are thinking of keeping one has a pet and want to work out food costs
