Recently read the Gibson/Sterling "The Difference Engine" (sorely disappointed), also Jan Bondeson's "Buried Alive" (my favorite non-fiction author) and am currently skimming "Understanding the Enneagram"- something I attempt to understand every 4 years or so. (I am a type 4. Ha!)

I'm reading Kurt Vonnegut's "Timequake" - again. It's his typically skewed take on autobiography and it makes me feel glad to be alive every time I pick it up, which is quite an achievement really.

Guildford, The Changing Face.
Absolutely absorbing looking at old photos of the town, new ones have been taken ins as close to the original postion so that it is easy to spot the changes over the last 150 years.
Although I moved here only 20 years ago, it is amazing how much the area has changed even in that time.

Just finished Stephen Fry's 'The Tennis Stars' Balls'. This was a cracking good read, a modern version of the Count of Monte Cristo.

Star Trek: Gateways (book 6 of 7) - Cold Wars by Peter David
I probably won't read the other books in the series as it's one of those that crosses all the incarnations of Trek, and I really only like the New Frontier ones. Peter David is one of my guilty pleasures.
At home it's Dr. Fegg's Encyclopedia of All World Knowledge
