Eurolegs 2007 - Finland 'ere we come...

Possible under-50 on the Death List thread, then? Potentially by gladioli waving former fans who are incensed by what they see at his sell-out...

Indeed! I have to say that the thought of Moz doing Eurovision made me laugh uproariously, but in a strange way I think it could work; he has written some very good pop songs which tend to get overlooked by non-Morrissey fans - and let's face it, there's no middle ground, you're either a Morrissey fan or you're not.
Oh, and in case anyone hasn't seen the Eurovision-inspired video for Morrissey's "You Have Killed Me"... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7hX5cCZsCw

I don't think his real fans would be that surprised, to be honest. He did work with Sandie Shaw, after all...

I think Morrissey will flop - it stopped being a song contest years ago and is now the Eurovision "Vote for your neighbouring countries and countries that haven't bombed Iraq" contest. Would be interesting though - wonder if he'd try to pen something a little jolly or would go for his usual tale of woe?

Oh come on, stop this idle speculation. Morrisey with either not take part, or lose the 'public vote', some stupid, idiotic, bland pop will win as always. (Blame the 'Great British' public, not me )
I mean, Hannah and Marti???? WTF??

Aww. It's one of the few reasons to watch this 'Celebrity' strictly dance, sing, academy malarky nonsense.

"Celebrity" eh? Shame their isn't an Ofcom equivalent of the trading standards act covering the use of that word in programming. I think it would lead to less confusion... if only on the part of the 'guests'. I heard someone on one these shows claim to be 25th most influential person in the world.

The Groob Posted Jan 12, 2007
Hannah and Marti? Would that be Hannah Waterman and Marti Pellow? I always say to ewif that these celebrity shows are merely popularity contests that are won by the most popular soap opera character or the biggest hearthrob male. Right again. I'm sure I could win some money if the bookies offered odds on celebrity reality shows.

Apparently, Jaana Pelkonen and Mikko Leppilampi will be the presenters of the 52nd annual Eurovision Song Contest in Finland.
They look par for the course
