I seem to have landed myself on a bit of a The Cure tip tonight. Just did 'Wild Mood Swings' and am now on 'Wish', which is one of my favourite albums.

The Cure - 'Letter To Elise'. So miserable yet so beautiful. Imagine how good they'd be if Robert Smith could sing!

Listening to ... SILENCE ... for once!! My housemate has gone out, my next door neighbour's grandchild isn't crying, and I'm making the most of the peace and quiet!!
Might have to put something on in a minute though, as silence means I can hear the constant whine of the steel works at the end of my road, not good!!
Think it'll probably be Kirsty MacColl, I keep getting told I sound like her, so I don't mind as her voice is wonderful!!

I too have been told I sound like Kirsty MaColl. I think it was Smij, or maybe Paully. Depite being noither Oirish or female I was still flattered.
I can only imagine that there was a need for cotton buds and ear drops in HooToo towers that day!

Kirsty MacColl doesn't sound Irish, she's got a London accent!!
So, why I should sound like her I don't know!! Look and sing like her I can understand, I suppose we are fairly(ish) similar from when she was my age, but not talking, I've never lived in London!! Ah well, maybe it's just the husky voice, no matter what accent I've got!!
As promised I'm now listening to "There's a guy works down the chipshop swears he's Elvis" by......KM!!

Sorry Roy, had to change over as I can't sing along with KM when I've got a sore throat, more suited to Dire Straits!! Rofl!!
Now listening to Money for Nothing, much more appropriate for my voice at the moment!!

I've just been trying (again) to appreciate Wolfmother. I don't give up easily, but they really are a pile of dingo's kidneys.
I think somebody should tap them on the shoulder and point out what happens to 'Tongue in cheek tribute acts' al a 'The Darkness'.
Anyway, on to really cool tooons. Now I'm wallowing in 'Get dancey' by New young pony club.

Megadeth - 'In My Darkest Hour'
When I was in my late teens/early twenties this song was a bit of a pivotal tune. Not for any heavy reason: it was just a good tune.
