You should really listen to some of the Fratellis' lyrics then! Particularly "Henrietta" - their first, and unsuccessful, single (you'll soon realise why - no radio station is going to play that in daylight hours).
And detailed analysis of the lyrics of their smash hit* "Chelsea Dagger" is a little disturbing, too.
RF
* Do people still call them that?

'Smash Hits'..........by gum RF, you must be as ancient as me
The Fratellis are a typical, raw, rude and rough indie act that the public has latched onto because of their catchy tunes, without anylising the lyrics too closely. Which of course, makes them even more fun.

I haven't had a chance yet to listen to Fratelli's lyrics closely, only Whistle... and some of Henrietta, but I did get the idea that it's not as innocent as it first sounds!!
Worryingly I'm now listening to Robbie Williams - Rudebox, reminds me of all the tracks that were "popular" when I was really young, so it makes me laugh just coz I can't believe that this stuff was actually counted as ""!!

See ya LL
I'll kneel by my little cot tonight and pray to the one god (Fluff Freeman) that you are cured of this affliction of liking Mika and the 'Robster'.

Powderfinger, some album or other, some track or other (haven't a clue - just got into them) Really rather pleasing to the ear, though. (it makes a change from Life in Cartoon Motion - please don't pray for *me* airy, I really rather like Mika )

Jarvis Cocker- 'Jarvis'.
I just put 'Superunknown' on but wasn't really in the mood for it. I think it's probably the first time I've ever stopped listening to that album before I had to!
