The Debauchery song's as finished as it's gonna be; I never was too good at finishing things (just check the list of unfinished entries I've started!): I'm awaiting the new PC & Cubase to arrive before diving into a world of banjo-squelch-bleep-twang-twang-RAWK!-pluck-twang-bleep action.
Debauchery, for those that have thus far avoided its infliction, is here:

The album ran out of steam when I ran out of lyrics. I discussed this with someone the other night and we concluded that there must be *something* to write about, but I'm at a loss.

Bluuuuuuuuuue banana days, oh bluuuuuuuue banana days..........

Simple songwriting tip: use the tricky word *before* the end of the line!
To paraphrase a recent journal:
I'm suff-er-ing banana bum,
I should know by now to keep the ski-in on.
Eh up, I could be onto something there.

You know the bible got it wrong,
when making apple the fruit of sin.
The real culprit is in my song,
namely, the banana minus skin.

STRANGELY STRANGE ( A brain on a spring ) Posted Dec 6, 2006
This is strange musically, I was give free reign to select some free CDs from a box that was given to someone, so I picked out some I liked which probably say a lot about my musical tastes! Some actually appear new and unplayed, a few are older and a couple are freebies from newspapers. Some are Jazz, Acid Jazz, whatever that is! Actually it just sounds like modern jazz to me. One is a live Hendrix freebie and 2 are believe it or not Salvation Army Band Christmas music CDs which I love as reminds me of town centres at Christmas, I also like the music.
What is really strange is the modern jazz and a CD marked Hard Rock Extreme Metal have on each single disc around 100 tracks, yes 100! I thought this is odd as for each track there is a full lenght version of a song, a 30 second version, and a 10 second version. First of all I thought these are DJ versions for mixing, then I realised I have ended up with 4 CDs used to make films, adverts and fill in for radio stations! They are marked on CD case as for such use. It is OK though as the first 10 tracks are played as normal and the jazz ones have a listing of artists on them that clearly show the artists are quite good, the only thing is they are specially recorded tracks so unusual but still great to listen to, except the Metal CD which is slightly odd as made up songs!
