Pah! You might laugh like a lesbian that's just found a nun brandishing a cucumber but I am deeply, deeply disappointed.

Alice Cooper - Poison, very very loudly.
I just listened to Suede - Trash. I forgot I had it lurking on a compilation CD but MediaPlayer found it when I was searching for something else. Joy.

People are sometimes claimed to be the next fantasic artist but often disappoint, there are really great artists like Luthor Vandross and Alicia Keys in the "urban" type of music but sadly they are few and far between but I may have chanced upon someone who is really quite good. He is Anthony David and I was wondering if anyone had heard his stuff, he was on Jools' Holland's
show the other day but only did one song. He was playing an acoustic guitar and did a bluesy, jazzy, soul type song that was hard to describe really.
I was wondering if all his music is like that and is he as good as he sounds?

Luthor Vandross? Wasn't he a purveyor of schmaltzy saccharine soul-lite?
There have been some great soul artists but, alas, they either died before, or went rubbish in, the 80s. Aretha Franklin being a good example.
Mind you, I can't talk: I'm currently watching The Eggs Factor.

It all depends on your point of view, however I think to dismiss Luthor Vandross would be unjust as he was a very talented vocalist, unlike a very overrated copiest like Lemar.

You're right: Luther was a seriously good singer. That's what saddens me: from my point of view (and yeah, these things are down to personal taste) it's a shame that he recorded such bland music with such a great voice.
I'm still watching The Eggs Factor. I really need to have a word with myself.
