I have just skimmed through Luthor Vandross's The Night I Fell In Love Cd and think the thing is most of his songs are love songs which might not appeal to everyone. I just got your PS message, don't worry music is always just a personal thing anyway!
.
I have been watching bits of X Factor too, this Leonie singer is a competant singer, although too much of a Maria Carie (sp?) copiest for my taste, but they are going way over the top with the praise, take away the Maria bits and the rest isn't that fantastic......the American winner whos name escapes me was the only really original singer they have had, she isn't bad either.

I've had a bit of a rant about The Eggs Factor here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F16034?thread=3718533 It was meant to be a convo!

Just watched the live Take That concert. Fifeteen years after they split up gives time to put the band in perspective, it wasn't cool to say you liked them then as they were a boy band, but in reality they actually weren't a bad band at all. They were clearly really enjoyed themselves tonight and seemed to get on really well. It was actually quite an enjoyable concert to watch, and reminded me why I have always liked their music.

I thoroughly enjoyed it (and not just because of my crush on Mark Owen) and am currently recording the concert on ITV2.
Gary Barlow is a seriously good songwriter but I wish they'd done Babe rather than A Million Lovesongs.
Crivvens, am I really admitting to liking Take That?

Just watched and recorded on DVD my first live Christmas music of year on a religeous programme, one was Heather Small so quite good, the other was a really good boys choir who record CDs who can't remember name of.....I love Christmas music! Those sorts of programmes usually come up with the goods for good singers singing carol type songs.
