I think this is the right forum to mention it, but Terry Jones of Monty Python wrote the novel "Douglas Adams' Starship Titanic", directed "Monty Python: The Life of Brian", and played the part of "Naked Hermit in Pit" in the same movie -- all three in the nude.

That was for Ms. saffire, incidently. I was terribly foolish and failed to look at the new messages. Sorry.

Just what is excessive nudity by an individual. True he had three appearances in film where he was nude, but that was what was scripted and what he was being paid to do. Now...if he was say spotted walking down the street, not in relation to a film on a daily basis in the nude I could see some reason for objection. However most of us are nude almost daily or at least I am when I shower or am I just strange?

It's hard to imagine someone in a shower /not/ nude, and -- er, did I say something wrong?
Damn.
Anyway, who said "excessive"?

Technicolor said an overly healthy amount, that's where the excessive comment came about. You didn't do a thing wrong, sorry if my comments sounded scolding, I sincerely didn't mean them to be. I really was just asking to see what people thought was an excessive amount of nudity.

Did he actually direct in the nude?

Someone agree with me, please; women are more attractive than men when they're naked, yes? Well, perhaps attractive isn't the right word... 'decorative' I think sounds better. The female is so much more balanced (well, unless it's mine, who has been mistaken for a man - though not yet when naked). I do figure drawing, and I sooooooo much prefer female models to males...
Do you think I'm just a bit odd?

I agree with THAT.
I also agree with the women-more-attractive-than-men thing.* In the comic strip "Robotman", it showed once Monty at an art lesson. He was ... er ... /enthusiastic/ about the nude woman, but when the naken man came along, he excused himself, saying, "Excuse me, I have to go squirt soap in my eyes." I am not making this up.
Of course, in the sitcom "Family Matters," when Urkel was at an art lesson involving a nude woman, he made a clay model of -- I am STILL not making this up -- a victorian mansion. When the art teacher** questioned him on this, he said she was in the shower.
[*Footnote: Because I am a man. Sort of. Okay, I confess: I'm a 14-year-old boy.]
[**Footnote: The art teacher was played by the same man as Uncle Tootles in the movie "Hook"]

Zorpheus - I'm so hip I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis. Posted Jul 26, 2000
Now I have to agree that a womans body is much more attractive than a guys. I may be a little biased, being a guy and all.
Come on compair the two.
A womans body is soft, smooth, delicate, smells good, is generally beautiful.
A guy however is hard (no pun intended), ruff, and hairy.
God bless you women for even wanting to touch us guys.

Hey Zorpheus, how's going? I couldn't agree more with what you said. We men are large, hairy and lumpy and I am always amazed that women find us attractive in any way, shape or form.

Oh dear... I go for the (almost) hairless effeminate type myself...
But artistically, there's no comparison. I'm (nominally) female and apparently heterosexual, but I still reckon women are better looking than men...
Gender bias
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jul 26, 2000
See? Both men and women consider females to be more attractive, but for different reasons.
Er, why did I say "See?"
...
Never mind.
