Damn nice theory. I think I'll nick it.

From what I read in the papers - the "finger test" is...
index and ring fingers same size -> masculine.
index finger shorter than ring finger -> feminine.
And the conclusion was that men with "feminine" fingers and women with "masculine" fingers are potentially homosexual...
Personally, I think this is a bunch of hogwash. And that has nothing to do with the relative size of my fingers...
honest!

What about the statistic that says 80% of older men who "come out of the closet" are married and have kids. Does that mean that marriage causes homosexuality? Of course not! You can make a cause and effect relationship with anything if you look hard enough and ignore enough evidence from other areas. Sadly most people don't understand logical fallacies these days. Ad Hoc Ergo Proctor Hoc, After the fact, therefore because of the fact. IE...Jedi Knight trips over a rock, Mount Kilamonjaro errupts, therefore because Jedi Knight tripped Mount Kilamonjaro errupted. When viewed in that light the conclusion drawn suddenly seems absurd.

I wasn't specifically pointing you out Jedi, your name was listed as the last reply, so it was handy. Hope you didn't take offense, none was meant.

That's fine, just as long as when I trip over a rock Mt. Kilomanjaro doesn't erupt.
[trips over a rock]
Let's see what's on the news ...
[Headline: "Mt. Kilomanjaro erupts."]

Here's a witty retort Emily. Huh?
Care to elucidate? Were you refering to what I said, Jedi said or MyRedDice said?

Well... I think it was to the fact that Mt. Kilimanjaro had erupted. You've got to admit that that would be a bit of a bugger.

We all spelt it differently, didn't we? Only just noticed.

Going back to the finger thing, if I look at my fingers with the palm of my hand facing up then my index finger is "longer" than my ring finger and if my palm is facing down then my ring finger is "longer". What does this mean???

You have long finger nails.
Does that also mean you have other prosthesis?

What's going on?
We can't let this forum die... we can't... it's too funny - I propose that we resurrect the geese and the fish, whilst distributing a liberal quantity of duck tape all round.
For starters, here's a lovely wet ... I hope I got it the right way round.
