The H2G2 Editors Started conversation Dec 6, 2004
As usual, the h2g2 offices will be closed from 23 December - 4 January. We'll still be able to monitor the site and help out where possible, but messages sent to any of our feedback addresses may not be answered within the normal time-frame.
Moderation will continue as normal, but if you mail us directly during this time we'll get back to you on our return.
We'd like to wish you all a happy Christmas and very best wishes for 2005!

We not going to wrap them up in brown paper and send them back to their nearest and dearest like last year then?

**starts plotting plan to run off with H2G2 towers and replace it with a cardboard cuttout while the Italics aren't there **
**realises it would be more produceive to replace both the Italics and the towers in one go**
Happy festive season

What are we going to do without you? Who are we going to make fun of and come running to when it all goes pear-shaped
I suppose you deserve a holiday to rest up for the onslaught of questions, queries and moans we will have saved up for you over the festive period
Seriously, have a good time and stay off the cooking sherry! (and no sneaking back online for a quick peak at h2g2 while you wait for the turkey/veggie option to cook )

Moderation? I didn't think there was anything moderate about H2G2.
But seriously, you should be able to enjoy your holiday period without having to worry that the site will go belly up and be just a pileofr smoldering ashes when you get back.
Not that I expect that.
