What kind of evil psychopath deliberately targets innocent civilians? What a nightmare. So very very sorry for all the people affected by this terrible event. I hope the guilty parties will be found and punished. The victims will need that. The world will need that. But it's so important that our American cousins get the right people. ONLY the guilty should be punished - not the neighbours of the guilty and not just anyone who's blown a raspberry at the west in the past.
All my sympathy.

My heartfelt sympathies extend to each and everyone effected by this tragedy.
We must consider not only those directly involved in this act of cowardly mindlessness, but those all around the world who still cannot believe the sheer extent of what has happened.
May all those who lost their lives Rest in Peace, and those who they have left behind remain strongwilled.
The terror will never be forgotten as it is etched on all of our minds.

its really sad whatever happened .This could have been avoided if U.S had taken the threats of terrorism seriously.
We can feel the pain as we went through the similiar kind at the time of Kargil War and the cold war which still continues in Kashmir.
I think stern action should be taken againts the culprits before its too late.

My deepest sympathy also to all those people who have lost someone or been directly touched in some way and those emergency persons who had complete disregard for their own safety and of course have now perished, I wonder how many people managed to get to freedom because of their bravery.
I'm sure also that i'm not alone in thinking there but for the grace of God go I.

There are no words to describe how sad we are feeling at the moment. My family would just like to send our deepest sympathies and our sincere condolencies to all those innocent people involved in this dreadful disaster.
What have thes terrorists acheived?
Researcher 184595 Posted Sep 13, 2001
I value the comments that you have made Ghasan. I beleive that this evil is in no way representative of muslim faith, and I urge the western world to acept this: It is now the time for cool heads.
If this is the work of Middle Eastern exstemists, then I beleive that their evil has been counter productive, since they have united the entire western world, and even other moderate arab nations. The fact that nations such as South Korea are condemning the attack is evidence that they have very little support the world over.
In the same vein the G7 nations and the world banks are taking proactive measures to stave off a world recession, so what have these exstemists acheived?
I beleive the US has to engage in further political engagement and not go down the road of isolationalism, but in the nearer future it is inconceivable that they will not act militarily in an attempt to exact revenge.
These terrorists and perhaps any nation harbouring them, will incut the wrath of the US and her allies- that is indisputable. However, the military and intelligence services must act to ensure the correct targets are identified, to cause no or minimum civillian casualties.

In my horror at the atrocities we have witnessed I would like to add this poem ..... for parents of children throughout the world as we enter this era of uncertainty.....
To my child
Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.
Just for this morning, I will let you choose whatever you want to wear, and smile and say how perfect it is.
Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and
pick you up and take you to the park to play.
Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let me teach you how to put that puzzle of yours together.
Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.
Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine after the icecream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.
Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.
Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.
Just for this afternoon, I will take us to McDonalds and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.
Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you.
Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.
Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count the stars.
Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favourite TV shows.
Just for this evening, when I run my fingers through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.
I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer, and screaming inside that they can't handle it anymore.
And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask him for nothing, except one more day ..........

I was in Manhatten 2 years ago with my girlfriend and was permanently affected by our visit.
To our innocent eyes, NY was the perfect Metropolis. Vibrant, dramatic and populated by people who were tolerant, friendly and genuinely interested in us.
We left after 3 days, wishing we could stay for ever and that our own London could even come close to the warmth and feeling of unity that we experienced.
The recent events have left me & my family crushed.
We are so deeply deeply sorry and send our heartfelt condolences.
I hope there is something that we can do practically to help here in the UK.

It is very very sad and irrespective of creed or religion, we are all devastated by the events in the US. I, along with many many millions of Muslims of this world, offer my heartfelt condolences and condemn the abhorrent actions of a few fanatics.

What can I say that hasn't already been said.
It's hard to comprehend what the people of NY are feeling at this time, but I know that all my family, friends and colleagues share in the shock and horror felt by the whole world on Tuesday afternoon.
My thoughts and prayers go to those who lost their lives (and their families) in this horrific act of terror. My prayers are with the families of those who are still missing.
I would also like to offer my support to those who are still in the midst of the chaos - the Emergency Services, Rescue Workers, Doctors, Nurses trying their hardest to keep going when their work is harder than any of us can imagine
With Love
