This is, technically, an interruption to this thread. I probably should have started a new thread on the main "Nexus" page, but since I wasn't subscribed, I thought others might also not be, so I posted here to get as many of you as possible to see.
The reason for my intrusion is, however, a positive one: I have decided that rather than sitting and being angry at the amount of bad lecturing that goes on, we should make a positive stand. To that end, I am trying to compile a practical list of points as to what makes a *good* lecturer, so that we can show those in charge exactly what we expect them to do for us.
Since I'm sure you have all had experience of both good and bad lecturers, I invite you all to come over to A974720 and discuss what's there so far. I hope to get as many people involved as possible, so please all throw your ideas into the mix.

Well, now that I've opined on the lecturers question, I feel I ought to add my credentials:

Was Cambridge thesp - directed, produced, stage-managed for the ADC Theatre, Edinburgh Festival etc. In 20 years time I'll be sat in front of the telly, watching the Oscars and saying "I auditioned him once!"
