Das Mouldy Sandwich (U179945 - I think)
Graduated from the University of Nottingham (UK) in 2000 with a MSci (Hons) (2:1) in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry. Whilst in Nottingham I was a member of the Science Fiction Society, a member of University Radio Nottingham as a member of the committee in my first/second year, a DJ for four years and involved in many aspects of student radio (too many to name in such a small space), co-Science sub-editor of Impact (the student magazine) for '97 and general manager of Impact in '98, I was also a member of Jitsu for '96.
Currently a PhD student at the University of Reading (UK), graduating in 2003/2004 depending on how it works out. My doctoral thesis title is, for the moment, "Molecular Mechanisms undelying the Effects of Dietary Fatty Acids on Chylomicron Synthesis, Secretion and Composition". I am involved with Junction 11, the student radio station.

Ta.
Do you find the new campus halls far too expensive? Mind by the time I left Cripps was over £2000 a year. Apparently the flat I stayed in last year in Broadgate was one of the budget flats (complete with its own mould) and so wasn't too bad.

£3000 is more that a loan's worth surely.

MaW Posted Aug 29, 2001
Well, that varies quite a lot. Some people's loan will cover it, while others won't. That is fully catered, of course, although the food isn't all that great so some money will be needed for supplementary eating.

Hello folks, could you add me to the nexus? My user number is U153452, and I'm studying maths at Queens' [sic] College, University of Cambridge, UK. I finished my degree this year and am now doing a 4th year with an eye to doing a PhD afterwards. Other relevant information (?): I'm quite interested in political theory (especially left wing anarchism) and I write for a little known lefty political publication called Take Issue.

Well, if state college is university-level education, it's acceptable.
Bluebottle, Open University students are of course welcome, but only if they're actually studying with them (or have studied with them). You aren't at the moment, are you?
Key: Complain about this post
