I really am too knackered right now to post up the full set of results and stuff.
Suffice to say there have been a couple of full houses; a change at the top of the table (which WILL be updated tonight}; me[Andy]g, yes you did better than usual ; and me myself is one of this week's joint winners
WEEK EIGHT
GreyDesk Posted Feb 22, 2004
I'm quite content with this week's matches. To me it shows that we can apply ourselves to predicting foreign football scores if we really want to. But that said, it will be back to the Premiership for week 9.
Anyway, here's how it all panned out...
----------------
The Results:
Aberdeen 2-0 Dunfermline (McGUIRE, Booth)
Dundee 1-0 Livingstone (MILNE)
Hearts 3-1 Dundee United (HARTLEY, Wilson, McKenna, McIntyre)
Motherwell 1-0 Kilmarnock (CLARKSON)
Elgin City 1-2 Albion Rovers (McMANUS, Bone, Patrick)
----------------
The Points:
GreyDesk - 9 points (Hearts result & score; Motherwell result & score; Elgin City result & scorer)
McKay The Disorganised - 9 points (Hearts result & scorer; Motherwell result; Elgin City result, scorer & 1st scorer)
todd_abraham87 - 9 points (Hearts result; Motherwell result; Elgin City full house )
Bottletop - 8 points (Aberdeen scorer; Hearts result; Motherwell result, scorer & 1st scorer; Elgin City scorer)
Old Uncle Zarniwoop - 8 points (Aberdeen result & scorer; Dundee result; Hearts result; Elgin City scorer)
Master B - 7 points (Hearts result & score; Elgin City result, scorer & 1st scorer)
Owlatron - 7 points (Hearts result; Elgin City full house )
Psycorp603 - 7 points (Hearts result; Motherwell result, scorer & 1st scorer; Elgin City scorer)

Number Six - 6 points (Hearts result & score; Motherwell result; Elgin City scorer)
Ormondroyd - 6 points (Aberdeen result; Hearts result; Motherwell result)

Thank you too, GD.
But I'd still like one more point for correctly forecasting Mr Bone's goal in the Elgin City-Albion Rovers game.

I don't think our genial host is looking at this thread. Yoo-hoo! Mr Off-white Office Furniture! You've robbed me again!

GreyDesk Posted Feb 22, 2004
And there was me hoping that you'd be happy with your three points off of Crewe.
You know I dread coming back to look at the next postings after I've pitched up the results. It always seems to be someone saying I've got this or that wrong. It's also always seems to be you Ormy. And worst of all, you're usually right.
This week I blame it on the trauma of having to watch a smug murderer stand on the touchline near the corner flag and just be smug

for fixing the mistake. I haven't yet claimed my accustomed place in the top three, so I want every possible point.
It was certainly nice to leave Valley Parade in a good mood for a change on Saturday. If we can take points from our next two games, against Forest and Watford, we may still have a of a chance of staying up. However, it's hard to feel too optimistic when we're teetering on the brink of administration, with control of the club divided between two factions who are busy publicly slagging each other off.

Ormondroyd Posted Feb 23, 2004
Actually, no. Falling over without being touched to try to win a penalty and scraping your studs down an opponent's Achilles tendon are both bookable offences.
But never mind that! Right on cue, here we go again:
