GreyDesk Posted Feb 14, 2004
This has been a bad week for h2g2. Due to the spiteful action of two researchers, this site has now lost it's digibox community, and we've lost two players from the competition.
Currently the BBC New Media team are trying to get to the bottom of the reasons behind the shutdown by Telewest, and hopefully get the link reinstalled. Also there are moves afoot amongst those currently locked out to re-establish and alternative link. In the light of these effort I have decided to award WILD BIRIYANI and Owlatron (although he got his selections in this week before the big shut down) automatic Pools Panel selections from now until the end of the season. Thus if they make it back on site, they will be able to carry on as if nothing had happened. Well here's hoping anyway.
WILD BIRIYANI:
Barry Town 1-1 Carmarthen
Caersws 2-0 Rhyl
Haverfordwest 2-1 TNS
Newi CD 0-0 Cwmbran
Port Talbot 1-0 Welshpool
... and no scorer points.
Egon (who was feeling a bit lazy this last week):
Barry Town 1-0 Carmarthen
Caersws 1-2 Rhyl
Haverfordwest 2-0 TNS
Newi CD 2-2 Cwmbran
Port Talbot 1-0 Welshpool
... and no scorer points.

Ok, so none of us know the first thing about Welsh football. I think that that is conclusive proven with this week's results
Many people got very little, or even less. And our eventual winner is the one who IRL lives the furthest away from the Valleys!

That's excellent news
Of course the downside is you're going to have to pick your own selections from now on
As you're here, do you know how to get in touch with WILD BIRIYANI? What with you both being Wednesday fans and all that.

awesome, i'm stoked (happy) fancy winning a week when i didn't even recognise any of the names. could we do that again please. i think i'll need the rest of the season like that to get anywhere near the top.
