WYTHNOS SAITH (or Week Seven)
GreyDesk Started conversation Feb 7, 2004
A departure from the usual round of Premiership plus Sheffield United matches this week. For a change we are going to visit the proud Principality of Wales and their league as sponsored by J.T.Hughes/Mitsubishi.
Barry Town v Carmarthen
Caersws v Rhyl
Haverfordwest v TNS
Newi CD v Cwmbran
Port Talbot v Welshpool
Closing date - 12noon, 14th February.
Oh, and there is no mystery player competition this week.

If this season's supposed to be the Latin One, how come you've elected to go Welsh? Oh, and my guess for the non-existent mystery player is Leighton James. Or Dai Davies.

Big Nev's played for Rhyl. But there's no llandudno games, so it wouldn't be him.
My cousin used to share a house in Bangor with Dai Davies' daughter.
The young Ms Davies taught my cousin some bits of Welsh so she could get in free to a nightclub where you didn't have to pay if you answered the woman on the door's question in Welsh.

A-ha. A good chance for two in a row for the Big B, I suspect. I'm sure I know more about the LoW than most of you.

Hmm, my cousin currently lives in Bangor with six Welsh Sports Studies students...
*gets phone out*

Mu Beta Posted Feb 7, 2004
Are the students Welsh, or the Sports Studies course?
If it's the latter, I find it very hard to see how they can fill three years:
"Welsh rugby. Well, it's shite really..."
"This is Colin Jackson, he was good once, but now he works for the BBC"
"Er, we're still trying to beat Russia on a technicality"

Ah no, it wouldn't be Mickey Thomas. He only ever played for one Welsh team.

Wrexham?
I'm still awaiting the results of the University of Wales (Bangor) Sports Student Jury. I believe they're planning to give me "nul points"
